Floriade Dialogue #5
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic we changed from face to face Floriade Dialogue meetings to a monthly series of webinars. The theme of Floriade Dialogue #5 is ‘Ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all at all ages (SDG 3)’. In the light of Covid-19 and the need for healthy food in cities with a focus on food security, the Webinar Floriade Dialogue #5, Healthy City was focussed on sourcing and distributing local healthy food.
Food was the connecting factor between the 200 participants. Bauke van der Veen, Boardmember Flevofood, spoke about new short foodchains for Europe followed up by an introduction by Katrien Verbeke from Dienst Gent about Gent and Garde, a local urban food policy with global impact. There was a lot of creativity and energy to make it happen.
