How to Participate
An international Horticultural Expo can only be established through the participation of national and international participants. Therefore over 175 countries have officially been invited to participate by the the Ministry of Agriculture, Nature and Food Quality of the Government of the Netherlands.
The invitation included the request to submit a country entry that expresses a vision, knowledge, solutions, and innovations on the Floriade theme.
Exhibitions have to be in line with the Floriade theme ‘Growing Green Cities’ and at least one of the sub-themes: Food, Green, Health or Energy. Guidance for the development can be read in Special Regulation No.1. All initiatives to participate, need prior review and approval by the Floriade Organisation beforehand, in which our team would be happy to help you with.
There are two international areas with plots from which the participating countries can choose. Both areas have different atmospheres. In the largest area the plots are clustered in an urban setting. The smaller International area is located on the Island in a more rural setting. Both areas are along main pathways with expected main streams of visitors. There is also an option to exhibit in the indoor Greenhouse or as part of the World Village.
